Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A superstar who crossed over completely from country music to pop culture, turning into a pop icon that will endure forever, and sweeping over everywhere. Swift dropped country as if it was another layer and proved that she's possibly the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. A person who has the ability to tap into the mood of times to make her music personal, and be able to perform at the opposite. This was evident in her early hits including the neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album 2008's Fearless showcased a songwriter discovering the person she really was, and, in doing so, gaining a mass audience. The album was hugely successful not only in the United States with six singles were certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across the globe. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago, consolidated her prior successes, propelling Swift into the spotlight. She grew in popularity over the course of her subsequent three albums: Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift was now firmly established within a genre where she belonged. She was in the forefront of pop even when she dropped her signature style in her twin albums, folklore and Evermore in 2020.
