Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16-year old American who was born in Miami Florida. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. His father was an Argentine who is of Scottish and English heritage. Her mother comes from Spanish and English roots. Taylor Joy has four siblings. One of them is in each parent's prior marriages. The family lived at Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria part in London. Taylor Joy said the move from Buenos Aires to Victoria was difficult, and she did not learn English and was hoping to go back to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands and then Hill House. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school plays. At the age of 16, Taylor-Joy dropped out to focus her full-time acting career. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to become an actor. The opportunity was offered to her chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management she offered her an opportunity as a model.
